Head of Capital Partnerships

A growing private markets investment platform is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to lead capital formation efforts across institutional investors, family offices, private wealth channels, and strategic distribution partners. This is a senior commercial role with responsibility for expanding investor relationships, raising capital for private market investment strategies, and contributing to the firm's long-term growth across Asia Pacific and selected international markets. The successful candidate will work closely with the investment leadership team and play an integral role in shaping fundraising strategy, investor engagement, and product positioning.

This role is suited to an experienced capital raising professional who combines an established investor network with a strong understanding of private markets. You will be responsible for originating and managing investor relationships, developing fundraising initiatives, and representing the firm across the institutional and private wealth landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Investor Coverage
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies across institutional investors, family offices, private banks, wealth managers, and other capital partners
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective investors across Asia Pacific and other key markets
  • Lead investor meetings, presentations, and due diligence processes from initial engagement through to capital commitment
  • Manage existing investor relationships to support future fundraising opportunities and long-term partnerships
Business Development
  • Identify new distribution channels, strategic partnerships, and market opportunities
  • Develop relationships with investment consultants, intermediaries, and industry participants
  • Represent the business at conferences, networking events, and investor forums
  • Maintain a strong understanding of investor sentiment, capital flows, and market trends within private markets
Fundraising Strategy
  • Work closely with the investment team to develop compelling fundraising materials and investment propositions
  • Provide market intelligence to support product development and future fund launches
  • Contribute to fundraising plans, target investor segmentation, and go-to-market strategies
  • Support negotiations relating to investment terms and commercial agreements
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with investment, product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a seamless investor experience
  • Mentor junior team members where appropriate and contribute to the continued development of the capital raising function
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and fundraising forecasts for senior management

Requirements
  • Approximately 10 years or more of experience in capital raising, investor relations, business development, or institutional sales within private markets
  • Strong network across institutional investors, family offices, private wealth platforms, or financial intermediaries
  • Experience raising capital for private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, or other alternative investment strategies
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, fundraising processes, and institutional investment requirements
  • Excellent relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Commercially driven with a demonstrated track record of originating and closing investor relationships
  • Ability to operate independently while working collaboratively within an entrepreneurial investment platform
