Major Applications Officer | North West | £57 per Hour Major Applications Officer required for an excellent interim opportunity with a Local Authority in the North West.My client is looking for an experienced Planning Officer to join their Development Management team, taking responsibility for a varied caseload of major planning applications across both urban and rural developments.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-supported team and work on a diverse portfolio of complex schemes, liaising with applicants, consultees and internal stakeholders to help deliver high-quality development across the authority.
The Role
- Determining a varied caseload of major planning applications.
- Managing applications across both urban and rural developments.
- Preparing committee reports and presenting applications where required.
- Negotiating with applicants, agents and consultees throughout the planning process.
- Providing high-quality planning advice in line with local and national planning policy.
- Previous experience dealing with major planning applications within a Local Planning Authority.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy.
- Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills.
- MRTPI is desirable but not essential.
