Job Summary
More Than Just Numbers! A Role Where You’ll See the Bigger PictureHere’s an opportunity for a Property Accountant who wants more than routine reconciliations. This role offers the scope to get into the detail of property portfolios, pick up on the story behind the numbers, and play a part in shaping the financial health of a growing investment and development business.
The company is a well-funded, forward-thinking property group with a diverse mix of commercial, industrial, and residential assets. They are entrepreneurial and fast moving, with a strong pipeline of projects and joint venture partnerships. Their culture is inclusive, supportive, and designed for people who take ownership and pride in their work.
The Property Accountant will be based at their offices in Centurion and will take charge of the day-to-day financial management of a mixed property portfolio. That means working across income statements to identify issues or discrepancies, managing budgets and accruals, overseeing allocations, and handling small inter-company reconciliations. The role also covers releasing payments and trust administration, as well as ensuring accuracy within the MDA system.
The ideal candidate is someone with two to five years’ relevant accounting experience, ideally in property, who has the confidence to dig into the numbers and flag problems before they escalate. A keen eye for detail is essential, as is the ability to manage reporting deadlines and keep things running smoothly. They are looking for someone who is dependable, meticulous, and proactive, with enough experience to operate independently while still being hands-on with the detail. Age, race, and gender are not factors – it’s about finding someone with the right blend of skills, mindset, and maturity to fit the team.
If you’re looking for a property accounting role where your input really counts, this could be the right next step.
