Job Summary
Purpose of position: Contribute to growing the company’s assets under management through analysis, due diligence and acquisitions of new opportunities. Responsibilities:1. Strategy formulation
➢ Assist the Head of Acquisitions in formulating the firm’s acquisition strategy.
➢ Market and trade area analysis to identify potential target investment locations.
2. Financial modelling
➢ Underwriting of potential acquisition opportunities
➢ Assessment of financial viability of opportunities and sensitivity analysis
3. Market research and Analysis
➢ Market research and analysis of economic indicators, demographic data and trade area data to identify market trends and investment opportunities.
4. Deal sourcing and origination
➢ Origination of potential acquisitions opportunities through banks, agencies and real estate companies by means of networking, tenders and off-market transactions.
➢ Management existing sourcing channels and developing new sourcing channels.
5. Due diligence
➢ Manage the property due diligence process, including property inspections, title searches, environmental assessments, and legal reviews.
➢ Collaborate with legal, financial, and engineering experts to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
6. Transaction management
➢ Timeline and counterparty management of transactions, including and not limited to price negotiations and contract negotiations.
7. Creation and presentation of investment Deal Briefs and Investment Memorandum and any other research materials in relation to new target investments to obtain Board
8. Approval for new investments.
9. Middle management duties
➢ Mentorship and provision of support to subordinates
Attributes
- Ability to work with functional teams within the company, namely, Asset Management, Treasury and Portfolio Management.
- Adept at learning new investment management systems and using analytic tools.
- Ability to interpret complex data and results into usable information.
- Role may include assisting / taking on elements of direct asset management alongside investment professionals.
