Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual to join our team in the role of Fund/Capital Markets Director, based in Singapore. As we embark on launching new real estate funds focused on bringing U.S. Commercial Real Estate to Asia, this role will be pivotal in driving the success of our endeavors.Responsibilities:
- Main fiduciary to the fund investors, acting as the gatekeeper for fund-related decisions
- Fundraising — Raise funds and close targeted fund. Lead and manage all fund raising for the fund, including investor sourcing, marketing, investor due diligence, structuring, negotiations, fund documentation, compliance, etc
- Fund deployment — Structure and complete asset injections into the fund.
- Fund management and investor relations — Oversee PE ongoing fund management, reporting and investor relations:
- Oversight over asset managers/operators to monitor asset level performance. Work with asset managers/operators on decisions regarding asset investment, improvement works, divestment, etc
- Manage fund capital structure and track ongoing fund performance against defined targets
- Manage investor reporting and ensure governance/compliance with investor requirements and undertakings. Ensure the transactions are properly executed and investors' interest is protected through the legal documents.
- Maintain effective oversight and governance of outsourcing arrangements, managing outsourcing risks, and ensuring an adequate outsourcing risk management framework is implemented.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a startup environment, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle challenges head-on. A proactive mindset and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities are essential.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, fundraising strategies, and investor relations within the context of real estate investment funds. Previous experience in successfully raising capital for real estate funds is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of leadership in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals. Experience managing cross-functional teams is a plus.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions. A forward-thinking approach to fund management and investment strategy is critical.
