They are looking for a dynamic and well organised retail leasing agent with strong administrative skills.
The incumbent candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities within their existing retail portfolio. Playing a crucial role in securing tenants, negotiating lease agreements, and maximising rental income. As a strong people’s person, it is imperative that you focus on building and maintaining positive relationships with existing tenants addressing concerns, facilitate renewals, and actively seek opportunities to enhance tenant satisfaction. Beyond this you will be working closely with property managers to understand the unique characteristics and requirements of each retail property. So, the need to develop leasing plans tailored to specific properties and market conditions arises. Bearing this in mind, you will then prepare regular leasing reports and updates for management, highlighting leasing activity, vacancy rates, and potential opportunities for portfolio optimisation. There is a keen focus on strong administration ability, as you will be managing all admin surrounding the entire leasing process. From drafting offers to lease to finalising tenant specifications, obtaining signatures or confirming compliance or conducting credit checks – this role will see you leverage your attention to detail and organisational capabilities.
Being a natural people’s person, you will be dealing with various internal and external stakeholders and must have excellent communication skills coupled with a high level of proficiency in the full MS Office suite. To excel in this role, being highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is of utmost importance. Experience in the retail property sector is essential, along with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
