Our client is a respected real estate organization that has evolved over the years. They are a private fund that owns and manages their own properties. Originally focused on affordable housing in the inner city when they entered the industry 26 years ago, they have since expanded into commercial and industrial property.

With a recent vacancy in their team, they have an opportunity for a Utilities Administrator. Joining this highly proficient company, you will be reporting to the Utilities Manager. This role will have you based in office at the Head Quarters in the City Centre. Your day-to-day accountabilities will include resolution of all queries, tracking meter readings and updating on utility input sheets, liaising with meter reading companies as well as keeping track of municipal charges and receipts. Other responsibilities include, obtaining monthly municipal statement, reconciling invoices on to MDA, capturing monthly charges, submitting expense batches, preparing remittance advices, and submitting, reviewing reports and investigating any significant changes in consumption.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must have a Matric certificate and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Experience with MDA is preferred. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of municipal utility processes and procedures, as well as a strong proficiency in numbers.
