Job Duties:
The Director of Asset Management ensures that all areas of multifamily real estate, operations, property accounting and capital projects are successfully executed. The Director of Asset Management will act as the National Multi-family Owner/ Developer and undertakes all the necessary activities to complete the business plan and ultimately boost the value of each asset.
- Oversees multifamily real estate, operations and property accounting proficiently.
- Reviews leasing center, amenities, model and marketing paths in order to make appropriate recommendations for changes.
- Conducts regular site visits.
- Improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
- Works with the Chief Operating Officer to identify potential savings and contracts that need to be re-bid.
- Establishes and enforces benchmarks, guidelines, and policies.
- Assists with all the business day-to-day internal operations.
- Provides oversight for financial performance of multi-family apartment portfolio.
- Develops and maintains capital projects.
- Responsible for investment business plan implementation
- Executes exterior, amenity capital projects, and assessment of ongoing unit-by-unit value-add renovations.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- At least five years of asset or investment management experience.
- Strong financial background with knowledge of real estate.
- Ability to travel 30-60%.
