This pivotal role, based in vibrant Los Angeles, offers the added benefit of a hybrid work schedule. We seek an individual with exceptional leadership prowess, poised to oversee a team of three direct reports from the outset.

Role Summary
As the Managing Director of Asset Management, you will spearhead the comprehensive analysis, vigilant monitoring, and meticulous execution of business strategies for a diverse portfolio of multifamily communities within a dynamic real estate development firm. Your responsibilities will entail orchestrating strategic property performance assessments, fostering collaboration with stakeholders to catalyze operational enhancements, and meticulously managing financial planning endeavors to optimize portfolio value and capitalize on investment prospects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in dynamic collaboration with equity partners to refine reporting needs and provide crucial support to the Acquisitions team during initial asset underwriting.
  • Take charge of crafting and delivering compelling, timely reports on property performance, spanning weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual updates.
  • Forge effective partnerships with clients, vendors, cross-functional teams, and executives to conduct insightful assessments of business dynamics.
  • Utilize astute analysis of annual reports, system designs, and procedural data to pinpoint areas ripe for improvement.
  • Evaluate current practices and articulate findings, aligning asset valuation targets with initial underwriting projections.
  • Propose strategic operational enhancements, advocating for innovative practices, reports, or staffing adjustments to senior leadership.
  • Liaise closely with the Accounting department to provide expert guidance on cash flow requirements and forecasts.
  • Drive financing and refinancing endeavors in coordination with the Capital Markets team, leveraging your adept negotiation skills.
  • Provide hands-on support to employees during the implementation of new systems and procedures, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Establish rigorous compliance protocols to facilitate smooth program transitions, leveraging robust data collection and reporting mechanisms.
Requirments/Qualifications:
  • 8-10+ years in commercial real estate industry experience with the majority of experience in the multifamily sector.
  • Minimum of 7 years within asset management needed.
  • MS Word & Excel (required).
  • Must possess strong analytical, communication, organizational and computer skills.
  • Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Real Estate degree or advanced degree.
  • Experience with Yardi is a plus.
