Opportunity Overview:
Macdonald & Co. is thrilled to partner with a well established residential real estate developer in the search for a Director of Project Accounting based in the Triad, North Carolina. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting project teams across various aspects of accounting and compliance.
 
Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting functions related to assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Provide guidance and support to project teams on accounting-related inquiries and requirements.
Manage invoices, payments, and compliance processes for assigned projects, maintaining meticulous records.
Ensure adherence to compliance requirements for all assigned projects.
Process vendor and subcontractor payments accurately and within established timelines.
Collect and track compliance documents, maintaining up-to-date records.
Generate comprehensive reports including Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Contract Status, and Job Cost analysis.
Input owner billings using Sage software and modify job cost reports as necessary.
Undertake other related duties as assigned or needed to support project accounting functions.
Utilize industry-standard software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF files, CPM Schedules, Bluebeam, and other project management tools as required.
 
Your Qualifications:
Demonstrated project management skills with a keen focus on attention to detail, organizational prowess, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated individual with strong prioritization and time management abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented approach within a flat organizational structure.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Multifamily construction accounting.
Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor payments.
Mastery of Microsoft Office suite, Sage 300, Docusign, and Procore software platforms.
