This is an excellent opportunity to join Asia's largest healthcare-dedicated asset management firm. Our client’s Healthcare Infrastructure Platform is the largest independent life science real assets platform in China with global institutional capital support. The real asset platform’s long-term objective is to invest, develop and operate best-in-class healthcare and life science real assets in China and Korea, and other Asia-Pacific markets. We are recruiting for a Director/Managing Director to be based in Seoul or Singapore, to lead the real estate investments in South Korea.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and execution of investment strategies, business plans, for Korea and future growth in the wider regional markets including Japan, Singapore, Australia, taking into account market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and emerging trends in the healthcare real asset/real estate sector.
  • Lead the source, evaluation, and execution process of investment opportunities in Korea
  • Lead the whole process of transactions, from due diligence, preparation of IC memo and presentation to IC, financial underwriting, modelling, deal structuring, financing, negotiation of deal terms, and transition to the asset management
  • Actively monitoring assets performance, through regular review of assets against budgets and
  • Develop and cultivate strong strategic relationships with various stakeholders in Korea market to secure and complete the transactions.
  • Keep abreast of Korea and industry trends, competitive landscape, political system, social, financial, and macroeconomic environment, laws and regulations, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Strengthening direct relationship with leading institutions in the market to support fundraising initiatives leveraging strong knowledge of Korea institutional investor landscape.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
 
Qualification Requirements
  • Strong command of both English and Korean.
  • 10-15 years’ experience with at least 5 years in a core team leader role. Previous experience at leading international real estate private equity fund manager, asset manager, or investment banking.
  • An advanced degree in investment, finance, real estate, or life sciences related disciplines from a top-tier institution is preferred.
  • Strong business understanding of Real Assets and solid understanding of Korea real estate market.
  • Proven transaction record and successful in building strong relationships with investors in the relevant industry of healthcare infrastructure, including life science campus, industrial real estate, logistics real estate, data center,
  • Extensive knowledge and network in real estate market and the various stakeholders.
  • Outstanding financial analysis and modeling skills.
  • Strong underwriting and end-to-end process management skills with good understanding of various deal structures.
  • A strategic thinker, entrepreneurial work ethic, team player, work independently, work well under pressure, good service mindset.
  • Familiarity with Korean regulatory requirements and best investment practices.
  • Passionate, driven, result oriented, responsible, positive and resilient, hands-on execution capability.
