Job Summary
Job Description This role is responsible for overseeing all logistics operations related to the manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation equipment. Key Responsibilities:- Manage inventory levels and warehouse operations to ensure adequate stock of parts and materials.
- Plan and coordinate transportation of equipment and supplies between manufacturing plants, job sites, and service locations.
- Organize deliveries and shipments via truck, rail, or air freight.
- Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues or delays
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers and vendors.
- Handle subletting services and manage the subcontractors.
- Oversee documentation processes for shipping, receiving, and customs.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Create budgets and forecasts for logistics spending.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards .
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
- 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in manufacturing or construction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with logistics software and databases
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
