Job Summary
Our client is a leading consultancy firm specializing in retail development projects across South Africa. They pride themselves on delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to their clients, ensuring their projects are completed on time and within budget, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. Currently they are seeking a Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic Pretoria based team.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail projects, particularly in tenant fit-out, specification, and developments. Although you will be based in Pretoria, projects are primarily rural retail developments, requiring occasional travel. You will independently manage all aspects of quantity surveying for retail projects, including measurement, valuations, feasibility studies, and cost control to name a few. While liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Provide accurate and timely cost advice to support decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare tender documents, contracts, and other project documentation. Conduct on-site inspections and assessments as required.
Requirements include but is not limited to:
• Honors degree in quantity surveying.
• Registered PrQS.
• 5-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in retail projects.
• Strong understanding of tenant fit-out, specification, and retail development processes.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in DimX, Win QS, and Microsoft Excel.
